1About AUNZ to Bhutan
AUNZ to Bhutan is an Australian-based travel business specialising in journeys to the Kingdom of Bhutan for travellers from Australia and New Zealand. We arrange, design and coordinate your trip and are your primary point of contact for enquiries, consultations, bookings and payments.
Legal entity name: AUNZ to Bhutan ABN: 50 809 511 631.
2Our role in arranging your journey
We design and coordinate your Bhutan journey from Australia. You book and pay AUNZ to Bhutan directly, and we manage the planning, itinerary, consultation, and pre-departure arrangements on your behalf.
AUNZ to Bhutan engages a trusted Bhutanese local partner to deliver the tour and on-the-ground services in Bhutan, including guiding, transport, accommodation and activities. Your relationship for booking and payment is with AUNZ to Bhutan; the local experience in Bhutan is delivered by our partner.
3Enquiries and bookings
You may enquire through our website, by email, or via a free consultation. After an enquiry, we will discuss your travel preferences, provide a tailored proposal, and confirm availability with our local partner.
A booking is confirmed only when you accept the proposal in writing (including email) and pay the required deposit in accordance with our Booking & Payment Policy. Until then, dates and arrangements remain indicative and subject to availability.
4Payments and deposits
Deposit requirements, balance due dates and accepted payment methods are set out in our Booking & Payment Policy.
All amounts are payable to AUNZ to Bhutan in Australian dollars (AUD). AUNZ to Bhutan then arranges payment to our Bhutanese partner for the on-ground delivery of your journey.
5Tour inclusions and exclusions
Each itinerary specifies what is included in your journey. Unless otherwise stated in your confirmed itinerary, inclusions and exclusions are as described in your proposal. If you are unsure whether something is included, please ask us before confirming your booking.
6Changes to itineraries
Every journey is privately designed and flexible. You may request changes to your itinerary before and, where practical, during your trip. Changes may affect pricing, availability and logistics, which we will confirm with you in writing.
We may also need to adjust arrangements due to factors such as weather, local conditions, availability, or events outside our control. Where this occurs, we will use reasonable efforts to provide a comparable alternative.
7Accommodation, transport and activities
Accommodation, transport and activities are arranged through our Bhutanese local partner. While we select partners and arrangements carefully and in good faith, specific properties and services are operated by third parties in Bhutan over whom we do not have direct operational control.
8Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information, holding a valid passport, meeting entry and visa requirements, obtaining appropriate travel insurance, disclosing any health or fitness considerations, and behaving respectfully in accordance with Bhutanese laws, customs and traditions.
9Passport and visa requirements
You must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay. Bhutan visas and entry permits are arranged as part of your journey, but requirements can change. Please confirm current requirements before travel, and see our Travel Information page.
10Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all journeys. See our Travel Insurance page for details. AUNZ to Bhutan does not provide travel insurance to customers.
11Health, fitness and trekking
Some itineraries involve high altitude, walking or trekking. You are responsible for assessing your own fitness and seeking medical advice where appropriate. Please disclose any relevant health conditions before booking so we can advise on suitable arrangements.
12Unavoidable events / circumstances outside our control
We are not responsible for delays, changes or failures arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including weather, natural events, government actions, airline changes, or other unforeseeable events. Where such events affect your journey, we will use reasonable efforts to assist you and minimise disruption.
13Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation and refund arrangements are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
14Changes or cancellation by AUNZ to Bhutan
If we need to change or cancel your journey, we will notify you as soon as practicable and outline your options, which may include an alternative journey or a refund in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
15Complaints and assistance during travel
If an issue arises during your journey, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work with our local partner to resolve it. Our complaints and assistance process is described on our Complaints & Customer Assistance page.
16Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, AUNZ to Bhutan's liability for losses arising in connection with your journey is limited. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws that cannot be excluded.
Where a term implied by law cannot be excluded, our liability for a breach of that term is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services resupplied.
17Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Australia. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any non-excludable consumer rights or guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
